I started this blog in Fall 2022 as part of the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media’s Digital Public Humanities (DPH) Graduate Certificate. In Summer 2023, I’m taking the third course in the certificate program, HIST 689: Teaching and Learning History in the Digital Age.
I’m earning the DPH certificate to extend and formalize my Digital Humanities (DH) skills. I’ve previously worked on historical mapping projects and used statistical text analysis in my own research. In this class, I’m particularly interested to learn about using interactive digital tools in pedagogy and maybe to use some of my expertise with programming to create an online educational game. I’d also like to gain an understanding of using digital elements for teaching in the university classroom and less formally online.
Follow along as I discover new methods and tools!
